Backyard Harvest
It has taken me since last spring to construct these photos. We have been planting, weeding, pruning, spraying, watering, watching, and waiting all summer. The harvest is almost finished. After the produce is picked, then the real work begins. Cleaning, sorting, storing, washing, preparing, and planning the tools to preserve each item is next. Canning pickles, pie filling, pears, peaches, and grape jelly as well as freezing tomatoes, applesauce, and salsa is almost a full-time job. I wanted a picture of the beginning and the end results. We will enjoy this over the winter only to begin, yet again, next spring.
